I gotta say that's real skill, i see things like this and wonder how the hell they do it, I know the workings of photo shop but i don't think I'll ever come any where close to something like this. Tutorials would help but there aren't many detailed ones left or no more than the basics. I can try to make things like this but I just end up hitting a dead end..

To create this, I just used stock photos of torn paper and old books. There's also some wood and dirt textures I used. I pretty much just came up with the concept, then cut out areas of the textures I wanted to use; it's mainly just a bunch of photo manipulaton.
